Bahasa Inggris Tingkat Lanjut

Sebagaimana TKA Bahasa Inggris wajib, mata uji ini berfokus pada keterampilan membaca teks berbahasa Inggris dalam berbagai situasi komunikasi sehari-hari, vokasional, dan akademik — dengan teks yang lebih kompleks dan bertopik teknologi serta isu-isu faktual.

Muatan

Menggunakan dua tingkat kompleksitas teks mengacu CEFR:

Tingkat B2 (Upper-Intermediate)

Target kemahiran utama Kurikulum 2013 dan Kurikulum Merdeka untuk mata uji tingkat lanjut.

  • Panjang teks sekitar 300–400 kata.
  • Kosakata berfrekuensi tinggi (hingga 4.000 kata).
  • Struktur kalimat kompleks.
  • Konteks vokasional dan akademik terkait minat, pengalaman, dan kebutuhan informasi umum maupun spesifik.

Tingkat B1 (Intermediate)

Untuk mengakomodasi peserta dengan kemampuan di bawah B2.

  • Panjang teks sekitar 250–350 kata.
  • Kosakata berfrekuensi tinggi (hingga 3.000 kata).
  • Struktur kalimat sederhana serta kompleks.
  • Konteks vokasional dan akademik dasar terkait minat, pengalaman, dan kebutuhan informasi umum.
Kompetensi

1. Pemahaman Tekstual

  • Menemukan/mengidentifikasi informasi — gagasan utama serta informasi penting yang eksplisit.
  • Mengklasifikasi argumen, fakta, dan pendapat berdasarkan kategori atau pola penyajian.
  • Membuat kerangka — poin-poin utama ke peta konsep, diagram, diagram alir, atau daftar.
  • Meringkas isi teks, mempertahankan gagasan utama dan argumen kunci.
  • Mensintesis informasi dari sumber lain.

2. Pemahaman Inferensial

  • Menyimpulkan detail pendukung yang memperkuat/memperjelas argumen.
  • Menyimpulkan topik/ide pokok, makna, target pembaca, tujuan penulisan, atau pesan moral.
  • Menyimpulkan hubungan antar-ide — argumen, alasan, dan bukti untuk memahami logika penyajian.
  • Menyimpulkan hubungan sebab-akibat antarperistiwa/kebijakan/fenomena.
  • Menyimpulkan sudut pandang penulis terhadap suatu isu.
  • Memprediksi implikasi atau konsekuensi dari suatu gagasan/argumen.

3. Evaluasi dan Apresiasi

  • Menilai fakta atau opini berdasarkan bukti pendukung.
  • Menilai keakuratan dan kecukupan informasi — kredibilitas dan cakupan perspektif.
  • Menilai kecukupan dan validitas informasi dibandingkan sumber lain.
  • Menilai kekuatan argumen — seberapa logis dan meyakinkan.
  • Menanggapi isi teks secara kritis dari sudut pandang berbeda.
